Leaving shortly for a trip to Charleston, WV…. AGAIN. Was there last Thursday for a vocations promotion meeting. Today is for an overnight meeting with my Emmaus group. Dinner at the pastoral center, movie or latenight chat fest and then breakfast at I.H.O.P. on Wednesday and then nose back to the grindstone….
Today turned out to be a kinda slow news day. Not a lot to mention. Getting ready for road trip to Charleston (again) for Emmaus group. A bit a peace and quiet in the middle of the Mountain State.
Just caught the ending of “The Wizard of Oz” on TBS. Best line in the movie: A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others, spoken by the Wizard to the Tinman. I think truer words have never been spoken. What do you think???
Had a funeral yesterday and a baptism this afternoon. It always amazes me and fills me with joy and hope when these times come. I witnessed a family saying goodbye to a loved one yesterday and then welcomed a new life into the church today….
Had the most wonderful time at the seminary. Did not realize how much I NEEDED to be there yesterday until evening prayer and mass. Got to talk to some of my former instructors and members of the admininstration. They are a godsend and helped me more than they will ever know. Took the guys out [...]
Going to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to visit the seminarians of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston at St. Vincent Seminary, which is my alma mater. Also taking the guys out to dinner and catching up to see how they all are…… More later.
